The second outing of the Energized Edits series showcases the acceleration aficionado Malugi finessing the mastery of reworking pop smashers into electrocuted dancefloor anthems. Undoubtedly, there is an unbroken demand for sped-up bootlegs to match our increasingly fast-paced lifestyle while reminding us of a supposedly simpler time. Pop culture artifacts, like the voice of Y2K icon Paris Hilton, are recycled and replicated into high voltage bangers, resulting in a sonic lightning strike commonly referred to as the Malugi Effect, leaving us twitching and buzzing for more. Across dancefloors, we have witnessed the ritualization of turbocharged rhythms that offer a fleeting escape from an environment increasingly tense. So yes, this is music that enables us to become more resilient to the harsh realities of compulsory capitalist production, but most importantly: This is music that fucking slaps.
